DIARY OF A FULL-TIME MOMMY

Life is how you live it. A place is as good as the people in it. Whatever life we have, we must make the most of it. Without regret we must live each day with hope that tomorrow will be better than today.

Facial at Luz Facial Care Center

It's been a long time since I had my facial, since I have a lot of time in my hands I decided to have one where I always had mine.

I had my first facial when I was in college, through my HS friends, I came to know Luz facial care center which was located at Banlat, Tandang Sora.

I didn't have much acne, but like any other teens, pimples every now and then became a major inferiority complex then. Anyway, the facial experience there was hard to forget. Sure it was painful, they will really get the blackheads out, and you will cry a river of tears. I wonder how those teens manage to get through it, specially those with heaps of pimples.

I like it at Luz because it's cheap and the facial comes with 2 free check up. Not that you need it when you don't have much to squeeze out! Hehe

I also like their placenta soap, or the way I call it, the black soap. I like their daily peel solution #14, which will make your dead skin peel off in 3 days. I like their whitening cream, which helps with the peeling. And of course, I love the pink placenta cream, which gives my skin the pink radiant glow...hehe! It helps hide the peeled of skin!

They have a branch in Fairview, but since I am closer at their SSS Zabarte branch, I went there! The place is small and you have to go out to go to the rest room. There is not much wall design, not even a curtain to hide the outside heat. Anyway, aside from that, they still offer the same quality facial just like any other branch.

The present rate:

-facial is 250 pesos comes with 2 free check up. ( I think I will just be using 1).

- daily peel solution small # 14,195 pesos

- whitening cream small, 295 pesos

- placenta cream small, 250 pesos

- placenta soap, 120 pesos

Like with any other things, hiyang- hiyang lang! I am a certified happy client kasi hiyang ako sa products nila. I suggest you try it also.

SunLife Fly Voucher

Well, we were fortunate to have won round trip ticket to Hong kong from hubby's work. It's an anniversary token of the company. The tickets came in a voucher form. And it is a Sunlife Fly Voucher of Sunlife Insurance.

Hubby went to Cathay Pacific in Makati for flight booking. The dates we wanted which is three months away are already fully booked. I check online and it is still very much available, the attendant said that there is limitation on the Sunlife voucher booking, that means that Sunlife has already achieved the allowed booking on the dates we wanted. And we needed 38 thousand pesos + plus the Sunlife voucher to get the dates we wanted. But since we don't want to spend that much, we settled on the later dates.

Anyway, we still paid 19thousand for taxes and fuel surcharge for 2 adults and 2 kids.

And so, I don't really know if we were fortunate! I should have just waited for promo flights. Husband's company should have just dealt directly to the airline company instead of getting that Sunlife deal! Maybe it's just another case of anomalous bidding!

Robot Zoo and Nido Discovery Center at MOA

Metrodeal had a promo, Instead of paying 350 pesos, you'll just pay 160 pesos per pax for Robot Zoo Entrance and 1 show of your choice in Nido Discovery Center's Planetarium, I immediately grab my credit card and availed the promo for our family of four..

We went on a Saturday, a post birthday treat for my 5 y.o. Boy, together with my hubby and our 3 y.o. Girl. The usual scenario at EDSA going to MOA, traffic was terrible. Took us 2 hours to reach the place and we just came from a lunch at Fairview, Q.C. Anyway, the line at the counter was long. And all of us are holding the voucher from metrodeal. Hehe! So about 10 minutes of waiting, we were given tickets for the Robot zoo, and tickets for a 4:40pm show at the planetarium. And the show for that time is One World,One sky with big bird and Elmo of Sesame street. It was fun for the toddlers, my kids enjoyed it so much. But a total disappointment to adults like my husband who were asleep half of the show. Thank goodness it only lasted 20 minutes for if it lasted a little longer, snoring would be heard across the cinema. I guess it will really be interesting depending on the choice of show so you have been warned, choose your show according to your interest and not according to the time preferred!

After the show, we went to the Robot zoo, which again, a fun and enjoyable experience for kids and a total disappointment for the adults. I don't see the beauty or purpose of the Robot animals, some look junk to me. Others aren't working, and it is just a waste of time and money. It may look on photos but it's definitely not worth it. The kids enjoyed it cos they have the space to run around and nothing much!

Honestly, I feel I've been ripped off. Firstly, the Nido Discovery center is having a renovation, the smell at the area from the lounge to the planetarium was terrible. It's the smell of paint so it's really bad. And you could smell it all through out the show. To think of it, I don't know how or why we lasted to stay there for 20 minutes and so. Secondly, the Robot animals at the zoo were broken. Others were working just fine, but still, I don't see the educational purpose or any purpose of it.

So it is a waste of time and money. I wouldn't recommend anyone to sit on a terrible traffic going there. You will just be dismay.

As a consolation, we did have fun riding the MOA eye. Read my separate post.

MOA Eye

MOA Eye is an aircon gondola/ ferris wheel ride located at bay front of SM Mall of Asia. Cost is 150 pesos per pax and there's is no discounted rate for kids. The ride lasted for about 10 minutes. We went on a rainy Saturday night, there were a line but only 2 minutes waiting so it's not much of a wait at all. We were 4, with my hubby and 2 kids (5yo and 3yo). We enjoyed it and it even comes with a spectacular free firework show. I guess, we were just lucky that we went on a weekend and in time for the fireworks of SM MOA. I recommend that you schedule your visit the same time as the fireworks display. It's spectacular up there seeing the different lights through the glass of the gondola! And NO! It wasn't scary at all, my kids were so brave. The only thing that bothers me is that it goes on and on, so imagine yourself riding on and getting off from the moving gondola.... With toddlers! But there were personnel to lend a helping hand. Hehe!
